I am not even going to try to pretense that I do not look forward to the weekend to knock-back a couple of beers. In my ever-evolving quest to become green, treat the planet like a lady, and choosing to better my overall well-being, I’ve come to understand that my love for the taste of a really well crafted beer does not have to be sacrificed. I truly enjoy drinking organic and craft beers. I also like a great deal on organic and craft beers. More on that in a second. Today happens to be a Friday and I do indeed look forward to enjoying the few I’ve selected for the weekend.
Now I am not going to bore anyone who happens to be reading this with the details about what I like. After all, my favorite beer is not going to be your favorite beer necessarily. Variety is one thing I savor when drinking a beer or two. I am not the person that walks into a bar and the bartender immediately knows what to slide my way. Well, I mean if I were at the same bar everyday that is. No, I like to mix it up. It is not about what my/your favorite beer is. I often shudder when people ask what my favorite is in fact. But, even if you do have a favorite and stick with it all the time that is not a bad thing either, I just happen to enjoy drinking organic and craft beers from all over the world and back. That is another reason why I am not going to turn this post into “what Amy likes”.
Instead, I am going to share with you a couple of ideas for you to consider if you also want to start drinking organic and craft beers. Whether you are a seasoned craft beer lover, totally into all things organic, or just want to see what is out there, consider lurking around a few beer blogs if you see something that interests you, join in. I’ve actually met a few really cool friends through blogs. I didn’t get involved so someone could preach to me about what to drink, but I joined in order to get some info about new and exciting organic and craft beers to drink.
I will also give out a shameless plug to an amazing craft beer club aptly named Craft Beer Club. What I’ve especially enjoyed about Craft Beer Club is that for one monthly low cost I get to choose a 12 or 24 beer delivery that will showcase beers I never would have been able to find or a great new beer that comes from a super cool craft brewery that I should at least try one of. I get my shipment every month right to my door. What’s more, you are not tied into a lengthy beer club membership. Try it and you can quit any time you want. Plus, when I joined I got a bunch of free stuff. Okay okay, I like free stuff – but I also like to save money while enjoying a few cold (and not so cold) ones. Hey, this place is a great place to start, check them out here at Craft Beer Club. There, you’ll find access to a really cool news letter, info about joining, or just really cool info about drinking organic and craft beer. What’s not to like about that? Enjoy.
