THE MONTH: Decision to put Polar Bears on Endangered
List Due This Month
Starting off the month of January, we want to shed some light on the upcoming
decision by Secretary of Interior on whether or not to put polar
bears on the endangered list under the Endangered Species Act. Due mid month-we will update this page with the
commission's decision, which will certainly have an impact on the global warming
war, so to speak. While we certainly do not support a "war" of any sort, the
movement to cut back on global warming is definitely an uphill battle. While the
polar bear population has been hit with a declining loss, and ice caps continue
to melt at above-average levels, the correlation between a polar bear
endangerment and global warming could be more "officially" declared
with a movement by the Game and Fish Commission to put
the polar bear on the endangered list. Stay tuned
